Celebrating        Versatility

... in ALL venues!

Proudly representing The Australian Shepherd Club of America and all purebred Australian Shepherds in Ontario, Canada, COASC is not restricted to a geographical area. We hold several events each year, including online and in person seminars, herding instinct testing, conformation shows, rally, and obedience. We hope to offer barn hunt, dock diving and agility in the coming years.

The primary objective of COASC and ASCA is to protect and advance the Australian Shepherd breed. In service of this goal, COASC strives to:

  • Educate and assist owners of the breed to improve their knowledge of the breed and its history

  • Encourage ethical and responsible breeding practices and encourage breeders to accept the ASCA and CKC breed standards as the standards of excellence by which the breed shall be judged

  • Encourage sportsmanlike competition at all dog shows and trials

  • Conduct conformation shows, performance trials, tests, and other events in conformity with ASCA rules and regulations

  • Sponsor various educational seminars for our club members and non club members alike

COASC supports responsible ownership and supports breed rescue efforts (for example, Aussie Rescue and Placement Helpline (ARPH) and Australian Shepherd Rescue of Ontario (AROO)).

As part of our efforts to support the breed, COASC donates proceeds variably to various organizations, such as research projects.
